This course is designed to lay a strong foundation in science by focusing on tested standards in physical science, life science, and earth/space science. Students will learn through direct instruction, observation, experimentation, and technology integration. Lessons are supported by activities, videos, quizzes, and problem-solving practice. Students will also be introduced to scientific methods and lab skills necessary for high school science and beyond.

8th Grade Science is an exploratory and foundational course focusing on the natural sciences—biology, chemistry, and physics. Students will investigate matter and energy, cells and body systems, forces and motion, waves and sound, and Earth's systems and environmental interactions. With integrated lessons in formal and social science connections, students explore how scientific knowledge is used to explain natural phenomena, solve problems, and drive innovation.

The course also features a robust collection of digital resources, including simulations, assessments, games, and videos, all aligned with state standards such as Texas TEKS and Florida NGSSS.
